Nevada Statutes and Regulations for Professional Engineers
This 1-PDH course provides a focused review of the Nevada statutes and regulations that govern the practice of professional engineering. It is designed for Nevada-licensed professional engineers who need to satisfy the required Nevada laws and rules continuing education requirement for license renewal.
The course focuses on the portions of Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 625 and Nevada Administrative Code Chapter 625 that are most relevant to professional engineers. Topics include the legal definition of professional engineering practice, responsible charge, discipline-specific licensure, structural engineering limitations, sealing and stamping requirements, firm and branch office registration, written contract requirements, professional liability insurance disclosures, and common disciplinary issues.
The material is streamlined for professional engineers, not land surveyors, and emphasizes the legal and administrative requirements that directly affect engineering practice in Nevada.
Nevada requires licensed professional engineers to complete 30 Professional Development Hours during each biennial renewal period. This total must include 2 PDH in professional ethics and 1 PDH covering the provisions of Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 625 and Nevada Administrative Code Chapter 625.
