This package was designed specifically for Delaware chemical engineers looking to satisfy all of the Professional Development Hours (PDH) required by the Delaware Association of Professional Engineers. Delaware engineers must obtain 24 hours of continuing education during each biennial renewal period. Of the 24 PDH, no less than 2 PDH and no more than 6 PDH must be related to professional engineering ethics. The balance must be related to the licensee’s area of technical practice.

This course presents the philosophical models that guide ethical behavior and examines the standards of ethical conduct in a variety of situations. Decisions from the NSPE Board of Review are reviewed to provide insights into proper ethical behavior.
CH-02-902 Potable Water System Design – 6 PDH
This course presents best practices for designing waterworks including a set of standards that establishes minimum requirements for the design of new waterworks to protect the reliability and quality of the finished water.
CH-02-210 Introduction to Valves – 4 PDH
This course provides about the basic components of a valve and their functions. The training literature provides information about each of the types of valves in common use, the globe, gate, plug, ball, needle, butterfly, diaphragm, pinch, check, safety/relief, and reducing valve.
CH-02-905 Wastewater Design – Granular Activated Carbon Systems – 12 PDH
This course presents the theoretical fundamentals of adsorption technology for water treatment with a focus on experimental adsorption studies, process modeling, and adsorber design.
