North Carolina Professional Engineer Continuing Education Requirements
To maintain an active engineering license in all states, including North Carolina, there are a few requirements. In NC, professional engineers must complete or adhere to the following:
- 15 PDH hours are required each year to renew your license
- At least one PDH must focus on professional ethics
- PDH courses must be relevant to the practice of engineering and may include technical, management, and ethics topics
- Excess hours (up to 15) may be carried forward to the next renewal cycle
