Ibrahim M. Metwally, Ph.D., P.E.
Dr. Ibrahim M. Metwally is a Wyoming-licensed Professional Engineer, structural and forensic engineering consultant, Professor of Reinforced Concrete Structures, and professional engineering continuing education instructor, course developer, and technical reviewer.
With more than 30 years of academic, research, and professional experience, Dr. Metwally specializes in structural analysis and design, forensic investigation, structural assessment, rehabilitation and strengthening, seismic and wind engineering, and advanced nonlinear finite element analysis. His experience encompasses reinforced concrete, structural steel, prestressed and post-tensioned concrete, deep foundations, structural masonry, bridges, buildings, and infrastructure systems.
Dr. Metwally is the Founder and Principal Consultant of ENGISTRUCTA™, a structural and forensic engineering consulting practice registered in Wyoming. He has contributed to the design, evaluation, rehabilitation, and failure investigation of major structures throughout Egypt and the Arabian Gulf region.
He also serves as Professor of Reinforced Concrete Structures at the Housing and Building National Research Center in Cairo, Egypt. In his continuing education courses, Dr. Metwally combines current codes and standards, advanced technical concepts, worked examples, and practical engineering judgment to help professional engineers strengthen their structural engineering capabilities.
