Avinash Prasad, PE, PLS, PP, PH.D., F.ASCE
Avinash Prasad is a licensed Professional Engineer, Land Surveyor, and Professional Planner with over 30 years of experience in the civil engineering and management fields. He holds a Ph.D. from New York University, dual Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering and Engineering Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Dedicated to advancing the engineering profession, Dr. Prasad has completed or instructed over 1,000 hours of continuous professional education throughout his career.
He is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and an active member of numerous professional organizations, including AREMA, PMI, AISC, NYSAPLS, IPWE, IRT, and IIBE. A prolific author, his research has been published in leading technical magazines such as Railway Age and Railway Track & Structures, and his technical papers have been frequently accepted for presentation and publication in AREMA, ASCE, and NYSAPLS conference proceedings. In addition to his extensive engineering achievements, Dr. Prasad is dedicated to public safety as a New Jersey state-certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), and Firefighter.
