Gregory T. Benz brings over 49 years of engineering experience to his courses, specializing in the design of agitation systems, polymer reactors, fermentation, and bioreactors. He is the President of Benz Technology International, Inc., where he provides expert consultation on agitation and mixing design, including developing pilot protocols, scaling up systems, specifying equipment, and evaluating bids. Over the course of his extensive career, Mr. Benz has designed more than 150 fermenter agitators, in addition to numerous polymer and biofuel agitation systems.

Mr. Benz holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (BSChE) from the University of Cincinnati and has completed specialized training in Fermentation Biotechnology. A registered Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio, he also serves as an affiliated expert with Lee Enterprise Consulting Partners. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including AIChE, ISPE, SIMB, and SBE, and is a prolific contributor to his field, having authored more than 50 technical articles and written two books.
