This Live Webinar course is designed with the outlines of Introduction, Definition of Terms, Types of Collections Systems, Types of Sewers, Shapes of Sewers, Collection System Appurtenances, Basic Considerations of Sewer Design, Design of Sanitary Sewers, Preparation of Contract Drawings and Specifications, Construction of Sewers, and Maintenance of Sewers. This course is suggested for civil engineers, environmental engineers, chemical engineers, wastewater treatment plant managers and operators, and engineers interested in learning about wastewater collection systems.
In this course we will define several terms related to wastewater collection system, discuss the different types of collections systems, types of sewers, shapes of sewers, and collection system appurtenances. We will also analyze the basic considerations of sewer design and work out a few simple design problems using widely used Manning’s equation and graphs from FE Handbook.
