State Requirements
Currently, forty-two states require continuing professional competency (CPC) for Licensed Professional Engineers. If you are licensed in any one of these states, you are required to satisfy the continuing education requirements mandated by your State Licensing Board. For specific information regarding your CPC requirements, click on your state of licensure.

States That Pre-Approve Course Providers
Some state engineering boards pre-approve CEU providers. A few also pre-approve individual courses. The following states require you to complete courses from sponsors that are approved by the board.
- North Carolina – PDH-Pro is an approved North Carolina CPC Sponsor.
- New Jersey – PDH-Pro is an approved provider for CPC credits in New Jersey.
- Maryland – PDH-Pro is an approved Maryland provider of Continuing Professional Competency
- Indiana – PDH-Pro is an approved CE provider in the State of Indiana.
- New York – PDH-Pro is an approved CE provider in the state of New York.
- Florida – PDH-Pro is an approved CE provider in the state of Florida.
The Sate of Florida also pre-approves specific courses.
States That Require Engineering Ethics and Professional Conduct Courses
Currently, 12 state engineering boards require professional engineers to earn continuing education credits in the area of engineering ethics and professional conduct.
- Wisconsin – 2 PDH (ethics and professional conduct)
- Texas- 1 PDH
- New Jersey- 2 PDH
- Maryland- 1 PDH (ethics or state laws)
- Indiana- 1 PDH
- Minnesota- 2 PDH
- New York- 1 PDH
- Mississippi- 1 PDH
- Louisiana- 1 PDH
- Iowa- 2 PDH
- Delaware- 3 PDH
- Florida – 1 PDH (Florida laws and rules) and 1 PDH (ethics)
